Jelly's World

So it turns out that Filler Penguin totally read my little news post last week, and he came back for his revenge. I'm locked in a cupboard above what used to be my kitchen. At least there's food in here. Also I managed to grab my iPhone, so I can always order pizza.

Anyway, I can hear him thumping about in my lounge room. I think he might be organising something sinister. I think I have a plan to calm him down enough to let me out of this cupboard.... but I kinda need your help.

I need everyone to submit a comic (or more if you like) that stars Filler Penguin. You can do so by emailing it to jelly@jellystyle.com. On Saturday I'll have Filler Penguin and a small panel of judges choose which one they like best, and the winner will get a $50 gift certificate from Threadless, where they do some really awesome t-shirts. I'll also post the comic on Jelly's World and/or ChalkBored (Filler Penguin's new home) so you become famous, but mostly so that Filler Penguin's desire for revenge is appeased.

Did you get that? No? Let me recap: Send me your comics featuring Filler Penguin, and you could win a $50 Threadless gift certificate. You have until 19 June (This Friday) 26 June to get your entries in... partly because I don't think I can survive in this cupboard for that long, but mostly because after that, I'm hoping we can get back to the Jelly's World storyline that's currently on hold.

And it's not about great drawing skill: it's about making Filler Penguin look awesome. So get cracking!

I just have a couple of things to add: firstly, the panel of judges for this competition is to be made up of Fiona from ChalkBored, and the real-life counterparts for Kieran and Rachel from Jelly's World. I'd help, but I believe it's been mentioned that I'm locked in a cupboard.

Secondly, a few people are hesitant to submit an entry because of their lack of drawing skill... as such, I would like to remind everyone that the competition isn't about art skills. It's just about making Filler Penguin feel like he's actually accomplished something with his life. You could be the world's worst artist, but if you make the Judges even crack a smile, you have as much a chance as anyone!

As such, I'm also extending the competition out until 26 June, so you have more time to plan and draw/photograph/model/craft your comic(s).
