Because Jelly's World is based on real life, each of the the characters that make up the cast have a real life counterpart. Unless you happen to know, or run into one of these people in the street, you may never know who they are or what makes them tick, but you can find out all about the characters right here, no stalking required.

A year before the comic, Jelly broke up with his girlfriend, and moved to Canberra, where he lives in a house with two other guys, Kieran and Scotty.
Not long after his breakup, he fell for a girl name Leanne, who turned out to be engaged, which in turn has caused him to go from one failed relationship to the next, looking for a girl who is as good as Leanne.
He's a complete geek, fancies himself a designer, and an Xbox lover. He spends plenty of time on his computer, either reading the latest in gadget-related news, or doing something art-related. When he's not doing that, he's usually playing games with his housemates... even if it means he dies every thirty-seven seconds.
Jelly's best mate and housemate, Kieran, is a Canberra native with an abrasive personality that gets him into plenty of trouble. Not that he cares at all.
He loves a good steak, and while he claims to be the best steak chef there is, he's not afraid to try out steak anywhere, whether it be on an aeroplane or at his and Jely's favourite restaurant, Brierly Street.
He's an avid Playstation fanboy, and he spends most of his days playing co-op games with either Jelly or Scotty, or both. Given this love for gaming, it's no wonder that he's eagerly awaiting the arrival of the much anticipated Excaliber's Stone, an RPG game that has a somewhat rocky history.
Scotty is Jelly and Kieran's other housemate. By day, he works at Plumbing Plus, a chain store that sells plumbing goods, and by night, he does musical theatre.
Pete is a very happy, excitable, and somewhat naive little guy. Unfortunately, it means that when Kieran and Jelly come along, he gets swept up in their craziness, even if it means he's going to get into trouble with his wife, Aly.
Laura is a red-headed girl who works at Subway. Jelly scored her number thanks to a slick move by Kieran, after which he managed to not only scrape together the courage to ask her out (after going to an art gallery with her and some other artists and writers) only to be turned down. She did however relent after some persistent asking and creative gifting from Jelly.
She collects My Little Ponies as a hobby, and has a giant inflatable penguin in her hallway that looks remarkably similar to a particular penguin of the filler variety.
Simmy is Jelly's ex-girlfriend from before Jelly moved to Canberra. He broke it off with her to avoid a long distance relationship and to get a fresh start. She moved to Canberra roughly a year later to take up a design course.
Aly is Pete's loving and devoted wife, who sometimes feels the need to step in when Kieran starts to take advantage of him.
